Photon Workshop is Anycubic's slicer for its Photon resin printers. It orients and hollows models, adds drain holes and supports, sets exposure and lift parameters, and exports the layer image file the printer reads. It covers the Photon Mono, M3, M5 and M7 families. CHITUBOX also supports many Anycubic printers and some users prefer it, but Photon Workshop is the software Anycubic supplies and it supports the newest machines first.

How to install it
Step 1
Open the Anycubic Photon Workshop page and download the build for your operating system, verifying the file before installing.
Step 2
Install it, approving it in System Settings, Privacy and Security on macOS if it is blocked.
Step 3
Select your exact Photon printer model so the correct resolution and file format are used.
Step 4
Enter the exposure settings from your resin bottle, or load a matching profile.
Step 5
Import the model and orient it at an angle rather than flat, to reduce suction forces.
Step 6
Hollow the model and add at least two drain holes so uncured resin can escape.
Step 7
Add supports and run island detection to catch unsupported areas.
Step 8
Slice, export to USB, and print an exposure test before committing to a long print.

When Anycubic Photon Workshop will not work
Usually suction forces or too few supports. Angle the model, hollow it with drain holes, add supports to overhanging areas and slow the lift speed. Also check the plate is properly levelled and the FEP film is not clouded.
Exposure depends on the resin, the printer and the room temperature. Print a validation or exposure test model and set the layer exposure from that rather than trusting a generic profile.
Anycubic's site restricts automated access. Use the Photon Workshop store page directly in a browser and verify the file before installing rather than using third-party mirrors.
