Samsung error U1-2320 - fuser low heat error
The printer detected that the fuser did not reach or maintain its working temperature, so it halted with a fuser error. It is a protective stop because the fuser handles high heat and mains voltage. Printing will not resume until the condition clears or the fuser is replaced.
What causes it
- A failed thermistor giving incorrect temperature readings
- A broken fuser lamp or a tripped thermal cut-out
- The fuser is not seated correctly after a jam clearance
- Insufficient mains supply from an extension lead or shared circuit
- The fuser has reached the end of its rated life
How to fix it, in order
Work down the list and stop when the printer recovers. The steps are ordered from most likely and least invasive to last resort.
Power cycle from a wall socket
Switch the printer off, unplug it from any power strip or extension lead and connect it directly to a wall outlet, wait two minutes and switch it on. Fusers draw a heavy current while heating, and a shared or undersized supply is a real cause of low-heat errors.
Let the printer cool before opening
Leave it switched off for at least thirty minutes before opening the rear door. The fuser stays hot long after printing stops, and the labels inside the machine mark the areas to avoid.
Clear paper from the fuser area
Open the rear door and check for sheets or fragments around the fuser rollers, removing them in the direction of paper travel. Debris here interferes with heat transfer and temperature sensing and can produce the error without a component failing.
Reseat the fuser where it is removable
On models with a user-removable fuser, release its levers, slide it out once cool, and refit it until both sides latch. Confirm the rear connector engages fully. Poor seating after maintenance is a frequent cause on otherwise healthy units.
Check the room temperature
A printer starting from a cold room takes longer to reach fusing temperature and can exceed the timing window. Bring the machine to normal room temperature and leave it powered on for an hour before printing again.
Check the page count
Print a configuration report from the panel and look at the total page count against the fuser's rated life for the model. A fuser well past its interval should be replaced rather than repeatedly restarted.
Record the code and seek service
If the error returns after a cold restart on a direct supply, note the code, model and serial number. A failed lamp or thermistor needs a replacement fuser fitted by someone with the correct part.

Can I reset the error from the panel?

Why does it happen intermittently?
