Creality Print is the slicer Creality ships with its FDM 3D printers. It takes an STL or 3MF model, arranges it on the build plate, generates supports and slices it into the G-code the printer executes. It includes profiles for Creality machines and filaments, and it can send jobs to a networked printer and monitor progress. It is derived from the same open-source lineage as several other slicers, so the interface will look familiar if you have used PrusaSlicer or OrcaSlicer. Releases appear both on Creality's download page and on GitHub.
Version and licence: Free. Version 7.2.1 as of August 2026, at roughly 306 MB on Windows, 170 MB on macOS and 175 MB for the Linux AppImage. How to install it
Step 1
Download Creality Print for your operating system from the Creality download page, or from the GitHub releases if you want a specific version.
Step 2
Install it, allowing it through your security software; on macOS approve it in System Settings, Privacy and Security.
Step 3
Open it and select your exact printer model and nozzle size when prompted, since this loads the correct machine profile.
Step 4
Choose the filament profile that matches what you have loaded, not just the material type.
Step 5
Import an STL or 3MF file and place it on the plate.
Step 6
Set the layer height and supports, then slice and inspect the preview layer by layer for anything obviously wrong.
Step 7
Export the G-code to an SD card or send it over the network if your printer supports that.
Step 8
Watch the first layer print, since almost all failures are first-layer adhesion problems.
Which printers it supports
Creality FDM 3D printers including the Ender 3 family, Ender 5, CR series, K1 and K2 series and Hi series. Resin printers use different software.
When Creality Print will not work
This is almost always bed levelling or Z offset rather than the slicer. Re-level or run auto levelling, adjust the Z offset in small steps while the first layer prints, and clean the plate with isopropyl alcohol to remove finger grease.
Profiles are per model and nozzle size. Check that the printer and nozzle selected in the slicer match the hardware exactly, since a 0.4 mm profile on a 0.6 mm nozzle gives poor results.
Approve it in System Settings, Privacy and Security, and if it still refuses, right-click the app and choose Open to bypass the first-launch block. Check you downloaded the build for your processor architecture.
The printer and computer must be on the same network, and some models need the network feature enabled in the printer menu. Check the printer's IP address on its screen and add it manually in the device list.
The GitHub releases page carries previous builds, which is useful when a new release changes behaviour you depend on.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to use Creality Print with a Creality printer?
No. OrcaSlicer, Cura and PrusaSlicer all support Creality machines. Creality Print simply ships with the correct profiles out of the box.
Where are the releases published?
On Creality's download page and on the CrealityPrint GitHub releases page, which also carries older versions.
Is there a Linux build?
Yes, as an AppImage of around 175 MB.
