ElegooSlicer is Elegoo's branded slicer for its FDM 3D printers, built on OrcaSlicer. It ships with profiles tuned for Elegoo machines such as the Neptune and Centauri ranges and Elegoo filaments, and it inherits OrcaSlicer's calibration tests and interface. Because it is a fork, most OrcaSlicer knowledge transfers directly. Elegoo publishes releases on GitHub under the ELEGOO-3D organisation, which is the reliable place to download it since elegoo.com blocks automated access.

Version and licence: Free and open source. Version 1.5.3.4 as of August 2026. It is derived from OrcaSlicer, so the interface and settings will be familiar. We link the GitHub releases page because elegoo.com blocks automated access, but the repository is Elegoo's own official one.

What it does

  • Profiles tuned for Elegoo FDM printers and filaments
  • Calibration tests inherited from OrcaSlicer for flow and pressure advance
  • Paint-on supports and seam painting
  • Network sending and print monitoring on supported printers
  • Per-object settings and multi-plate projects
  • Open source, published on GitHub

How to install it

  1. Step 1

Open the ElegooSlicer GitHub releases page and download the build for your operating system.

  2. Step 2

Install it, approving it in System Settings, Privacy and Security on macOS if it is blocked.

  3. Step 3

Select your Elegoo printer model and nozzle size in the setup wizard.

  4. Step 4

Choose the filament profile for what you have loaded.

  5. Step 5

Run the flow rate and pressure advance calibration for each new filament, since the tests are built in.

  6. Step 6

Import a model, arrange it and slice.

  7. Step 7

Check the preview for supports, seams and first-layer coverage.

  8. Step 8

Export the G-code or send it over the network if your printer supports that.

Which printers it supports

Elegoo FDM 3D printers including the Neptune series and the Centauri and Centauri Carbon models. Elegoo resin printers use CHITUBOX or Elegoo's resin software instead.

When ElegooSlicer will not work

elegoo.com will not let me download

The Elegoo site blocks some automated traffic. Use the ELEGOO-3D GitHub releases page, which is Elegoo's own official repository for the slicer.

Should I use ElegooSlicer or OrcaSlicer?

Either works, since ElegooSlicer is a fork of OrcaSlicer. ElegooSlicer ships with Elegoo-tuned profiles, while OrcaSlicer supports more brands and often updates sooner.

My resin printer is not listed

This is an FDM slicer. Elegoo resin printers use CHITUBOX or Elegoo's own resin slicing software, which handle exposure times and lift settings instead of extrusion.

First layers do not stick

Level the bed and set the Z offset, clean the plate with isopropyl alcohol, and check the first-layer temperature in the profile. This is a printer setup issue rather than a slicer bug in almost every case.

Prints are stringy

Run the retraction and temperature calibration tests built into the slicer. Stringing is usually too high a nozzle temperature or too little retraction, and both are quick to test.

Frequently asked questions

Is ElegooSlicer just OrcaSlicer?

It is a fork of it with Elegoo profiles. Most OrcaSlicer guidance applies directly.

Why download from GitHub?

elegoo.com blocks automated access, and the ELEGOO-3D GitHub repository is Elegoo's own official release channel.

Does it work with resin printers?

No. Resin printers need CHITUBOX or Elegoo's resin software.
