Dell B1260dn Mono Laser Printer
Small offices wanting a wired duplex mono laser with low toner costs

The Dell B1160w is a Samsung ML-2165W in Dell clothing: a tiny 21 ppm wireless mono laser that cost under $100. It remains popular with students, and its AirPrint support means phones and Macs can print without a driver. Dell's Wi-Fi setup utility is old, but the printer connects happily to 2.4 GHz WPA2 networks and the Samsung MLT-D101S cartridge fits if Dell toner is hard to find.

Best for: Students and home users with a compact Dell wireless laser
Download the B1160w driver and wireless setup utility from dell.com/support; on Windows 11 the Microsoft IPP driver also works once the printer is on the network. Use WPS to join Wi-Fi quickly: hold the WPS button on the printer until it blinks, then press WPS on the router. If Dell's driver fails, HP's Samsung ML-2160 Series driver runs the identical hardware.
The Dell B1160w Wireless Mono Laser Printer uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
