Get the full B1165nfw software suite from dell.com/support for print, scan and fax. Wired Ethernet is the most reliable connection; otherwise use WPS. If Dell's scan driver refuses to install, HP's Samsung SCX-3400 Series scan driver works because the scanner hardware is the same. Configure fax header and date from the front panel menu.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.
