Is the Toshiba e-STUDIO2010AC right for you?

A compact 20 ppm A3 colour copier that fits in a corner where a full-size machine cannot, the 2010AC was popular in small practices and branch offices. Its 600 dpi engine is a step behind current models on fine detail, but it copies and scans reliably. Now that Toshiba has moved it into legacy status, check driver availability for the newest Windows releases before assuming long-term support.

Setting up the Toshiba e-STUDIO2010AC

Use the current Toshiba Universal Printer Driver rather than the original model-specific package, which is the usual fix when Windows 11 reports the driver as unavailable. Set the IP from the panel and use TopAccess for scan and address book configuration. If scan-to-folder fails on modern Windows, the cause is normally SMBv1 being disabled — update firmware if a newer build exists, or move those users to scan-to-email.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use Toshiba's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.
