Is the Pantum P2502W right for you?

The P2502W is Pantum's best-known budget wireless mono laser, frequently sold on Amazon as a cheap alternative to entry-level Brother and HP lasers. It prints quickly for the price and the toner is inexpensive, but the 150-sheet tray and manual duplex mark it as a light-duty home printer. Owners most often struggle with the initial Wi-Fi connection, which is done through the Windows/macOS installer rather than an on-printer menu, and with the printer dropping off 2.4 GHz networks after a router change.

Setting up the Pantum P2502W

Install the Pantum driver package from the global download page before plugging in, then use the installer's Wi-Fi configuration step with the printer connected by USB to push network credentials. Once on the network, iPhone and Android users can print via AirPrint or Mopria without the Pantum app. If Wi-Fi setup fails, hold the Wi-Fi button to enable Wi-Fi Direct and connect directly from your phone as a fallback.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use Pantum's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.

The Pantum P2502W uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
