Mobile printing and scanning for Konica Minolta bizhub devices

Konica Minolta Mobile Print lets a phone or tablet print to and scan from bizhub multifunction devices without a computer. It discovers devices on the network or connects by QR code or NFC at the panel, prints PDFs, images and Office documents, and pulls scans back to the phone. It also handles print settings such as duplex, colour, stapling and punching where the device has a finisher. On managed fleets it can pass user authentication so jobs are attributed correctly.
Version and licence: Free. iOS version 3.19 at about 124.9 MB. The official product page is on the Konica Minolta Europe site, which is the page to link even for readers elsewhere, since regional sites vary. About 124.9 MB on iOS.

Add a device by letting the app search, by scanning the panel QR code, or by entering the IP address.
Step 5
Enter the user name and password or account track code if your organisation requires authentication.
Step 6
Confirm the device status and supplies display, which shows two-way communication is working.
Step 7

Which printers it supports
Konica Minolta bizhub multifunction devices and printers with network and mobile support, covering the current i-Series and many earlier bizhub models.
When KONICA MINOLTA Mobile Print will not work
Grant the local network permission and confirm the phone is on the same subnet. Discovery does not cross subnets, so use the IP address from the panel, or scan the QR code the device displays.
bizhub devices commonly use account track or user authentication. Enter the correct user name, password or account code in the app's device settings, matching what your administrator issued.
Scan-to-mobile has to be enabled on the device in Web Connection, the bizhub web interface. Administrators often leave it disabled on managed fleets, so ask before assuming a fault.
The app only offers options the device reports. If a finisher is fitted but not offered, check that the device configuration is correct in Web Connection, and that SNMP is not blocked.
The app renders Office files itself, so complex layouts can shift. Convert to PDF before printing, which preserves the layout exactly.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the official app page?
Konica Minolta hosts it on its Europe site, which is the page to use even from other regions since regional sites differ.
Do I need it if AirPrint works?
Not for basic printing. The app adds scanning, finishing options and authentication that AirPrint does not handle.
What is account track?
Konica Minolta's accounting system. If it is enabled and you do not supply a code, the device silently discards your job.
