Cloud Print Management is Lexmark's hosted print service. Jobs are submitted to the cloud rather than to a specific printer, and users release them at any enrolled device by signing in with a badge, PIN or credentials, which cuts abandoned printouts and gives administrators reporting on usage and cost. It removes the need for on-premises print servers. It is sold as a subscription and the client software is distributed through each customer's own portal, so there is no public download to point at. Users normally get the installer or a deployment package from their IT department.
Version and licence: Subscription service, not a public download. The Lexmark Print Management Client that users install is downloaded from your own organisation's Cloud Services portal after your administrator provisions it; there is no public download link, so if you are a user, ask your IT team for the installer.

How to install it
Step 1
Confirm with your IT department that your organisation subscribes to Lexmark Cloud Services, since this is not a self-service product.
Step 2
Sign in to your organisation's Lexmark Cloud Services portal with the account they issued.
Step 3
Download the Lexmark Print Management Client offered in that portal for your operating system.
Step 4
Run the installer, which creates a cloud print queue on your computer.
Step 5
Sign in when the client prompts, using your organisation's credentials.
Step 6
Print to the cloud queue from any application; the job is held rather than printed immediately.
Step 7
Walk to any enrolled printer, authenticate at the panel with your badge or PIN and release the job.
Which printers it supports
Lexmark devices enrolled in the customer's Cloud Services account, typically current CX, MX, CS and MS models with the embedded solutions framework.
When Lexmark Cloud Print Management will not work
There is no public download. It is distributed through your organisation's own Lexmark Cloud Services portal, so ask your IT department for access or for a deployment package.
Confirm you are signed in to the client with the same account you use at the printer panel, since jobs are held per user. Also check the job has not expired, as held jobs are usually purged after a set number of days.
The device has to be enrolled in the Cloud Services account and have the release application installed. That is an administrator task done from the cloud portal.
Badges must be registered against your account the first time, usually by tapping the badge and then entering your credentials once. If the badge was reissued, it needs registering again.
Mobile submission has to be enabled in the organisation's policy. Where it is, you use the Lexmark Print app or the email submission address your administrator provides.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sign up as an individual?
No. It is an organisational subscription sold through Lexmark and its partners, and the client is distributed through the customer's own portal.
Does it replace print servers?
That is the main selling point. Jobs go to the cloud service instead of an on-premises print server.
What happens to jobs I never release?
They expire and are deleted after a period the administrator sets, which is the point of the service.
