The LBP6230dw was the workhorse home-office laser of the mid-2010s: 26 ppm, automatic duplex, Ethernet and Wi-Fi for around 150 dollars. Many are still printing daily a decade later because the fuser and feed rollers are durable and Cartridge 126 remains easy to buy. With no screen, connectivity problems must be diagnosed from the PC, and very old units may need the Windows 11 UFR II driver reinstalled after updates.
Sold in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia. Sold as i-SENSYS LBP6230dw in United Kingdom.

Best for: Home offices running a durable duplex mono laser
Ethernet is the easiest path; for Wi-Fi, use WPS or the Canon installer over USB to push credentials to the printer. Install the UFR II or Generic Plus driver on Windows and the Canon UFR II driver on macOS. Enable duplex in the driver's Finishing tab and keep the manual slot for envelopes.
The Canon imageCLASS LBP6230dw uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
