Canon PRINT Business Download and Setup Guide
Superseded office mobile app, now merged into Canon PRINT

Canon PRINT Business was the mobile app for Canon's office multifunction devices, handling secure release printing, scanning to the phone, address book lookup and device status for imageRUNNER and imageCLASS machines. Canon has folded it into the consumer Canon PRINT app, so one download now covers both home inkjets and office lasers. The old app may still function on devices where it is already installed, but it is no longer the supported route and will not gain support for new models.
Version and licence: Superseded. The App Store listing states that Canon PRINT Business has been merged with Canon PRINT. The final iOS build was version 8.3.3 at about 25 MB. New installs should use Canon PRINT. About 25 MB on iOS for the final build.

How to install it
Step 1
Do not install Canon PRINT Business for a new setup; it has been merged into Canon PRINT.
Step 2
Install Canon PRINT from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 3
Connect the phone to the same network as the multifunction device.
Step 4
Open Canon PRINT, allow the local network permission, and tap the printer selector at the top.
Step 5
Choose Register Printer and either let it search the network or enter the device's IP address.
Step 6
Enter the department ID or user credentials if your organisation requires them.
Step 7
Remove the old Canon PRINT Business app once the new one is working.
Which printers it supports
It covered Canon imageRUNNER, imageRUNNER ADVANCE, imageCLASS and i-SENSYS office devices. Those same models are now handled by Canon PRINT.
When Canon PRINT Business will not work
That is expected, because it was merged into Canon PRINT. Install Canon PRINT and register the same device there.
Discovery needs the local network permission on the phone and unblocked mDNS or SNMP on the network. Enter the device IP address manually if your network segments wireless clients away from printers.
Most office Canon devices require a department ID and PIN, or user authentication. Enter those credentials in the app's printer settings, matching what your administrator issued.
Scan-to-mobile has to be enabled on the device itself, usually in the Remote UI under mobile or network settings. Ask the administrator to enable it, since it is often off by default on managed fleets.

Frequently asked questions
Should I still use Canon PRINT Business?
No. Canon merged it into Canon PRINT, so install that app instead.
Will my existing setup keep working?
It may continue to function where it is already installed, but it is not maintained and new devices will not be supported.
Does Canon PRINT have all the business features?
Canon carried the business functions across in the merge, including release printing and device status on supported models.
