Setting up the Canon imageCLASS MF465dw

Connect Ethernet and the phone line, complete the fax guide on the touchscreen, and install the full driver package including fax and scan utilities. Configure scan-to-email with your SMTP settings in the remote UI. Set duplex defaults and an admin password, and stock 070H cartridges.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.

3. Install the setup app. Use Canon's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
