Canon's photo layout and printing software for inkjet printers

Easy-PhotoPrint Editor is Canon's layout program for turning photos into prints, collages, calendars, cards and disc labels. It pulls images from your computer, phone, social accounts or cloud storage, drops them into templates sized for the paper you have, and sends them to a Canon inkjet with the right borderless and paper-type settings. It replaced the older My Image Garden and Easy-PhotoPrint EX programs for most models. Canon publishes a compatibility list, because not every inkjet is supported and no laser printer is.
Version and licence: Free. iOS version 1.10.7 at about 98.7 MB, Windows version 1.8.0 at about 150 MB. Inkjet printers only. Do not confuse it with the older Microsoft Store app called Canon Easy-PhotoPrint, which is a different and older product. About 150 MB on Windows, about 98.7 MB on iOS.

Step 1
Check your printer on the Easy-PhotoPrint Editor compatibility page first, since inkjet support varies by model.
Step 2
On Windows or macOS install it as part of the model's software package from ij.start.canon, choosing the full installation.
Step 3
On a phone install Easy-PhotoPrint Editor from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 4
Open the app and allow it access to your photo library or the folders you keep pictures in.
Step 5
Choose a template category, then pick the paper size you actually have loaded.
Step 6
Drop photos into the template, adjust the crop by dragging inside each frame, then choose Print.
Step 7
Select your Canon printer, set the paper type to match the media in the tray, and enable borderless only if the paper supports it.
Which printers it supports
Canon inkjet printers on the published compatibility list, covering most PIXMA, PIXMA G, TS, TR and SELPHY-adjacent models. Laser printers are not supported.
When Canon Easy-PhotoPrint Editor will not work
Check the model against Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint Editor compatibility list. Unsupported and laser models never appear. If the model is supported, confirm it is installed and online in the operating system's printer list first.
Borderless needs both the app setting and a paper type that permits it, usually photo paper rather than plain. Set the paper type in the print settings, and confirm borderless is enabled on the printer panel where the model offers that option.
Set the paper type to exactly the media you loaded, since the printer uses that to choose ink limits and colour tables. Turn off any additional colour management in the print dialog so the app and the driver are not both correcting the image.
The Store app named Canon Easy-PhotoPrint is a different, older product. Uninstall it and install Easy-PhotoPrint Editor through the model's software package from ij.start.canon.
Template refreshes come from Canon's servers, so a proxy or offline machine will show an empty list. Confirm internet access, then use the refresh control in the template browser.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as My Image Garden?
No, it replaced it for most models. My Image Garden is legacy and only appears on older model pages.
Does it work with Canon laser printers?
No. It is an inkjet-only application.
Is the Microsoft Store version the right one?
The Store app called Canon Easy-PhotoPrint is a different, older app. Use the Easy-PhotoPrint Editor supplied through ij.start.canon.
Can I use it on my phone and computer with the same layouts?
The template styles match but projects do not sync between devices, so you rebuild a layout if you switch.
