Is the Konica Minolta bizhub C35 right for you?

The bizhub C35 was Konica Minolta's 2010 A4 colour MFP for small offices, with 30 ppm output, a small touchscreen and fax. It is now a legacy product, but plenty are still in use because the engine is tough. Colour banding and streaks usually trace back to the four IUP-14 imaging units or the transfer belt rather than the toner. Drivers for Windows 11 are still on Konica Minolta's site and work fine.

Setting up the Konica Minolta bizhub C35

Download the bizhub C35 PCL or PostScript driver from Konica Minolta's legacy support pages and add the device by IP over Ethernet. Scan-to-email and SMB are configured in PageScope Web Connection at the printer's IP; the old firmware needs SMBv1 or an SMBv2 update to work with Windows 11 shares. Replace imaging units in pairs if colour registration wanders.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use Konica Minolta's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.

The Konica Minolta bizhub C35 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.

• TNP-22C / TNP-22M / TNP-22Y colour toners (6,000 pages each)
• IUP-14 imaging units (four)
