Toshiba e-STUDIO2309A
Shops, clinics and small schools needing basic A3 copying
Toshiba mono laser — shown for reference; your model may look different. Gogerr · CC BY-SA 4.0
A 28 ppm entry A3 mono copier that sits just above the 2309A, the e-STUDIO2809A is a practical choice where budget matters more than speed or finishing. It has the same compact chassis, so it fits into offices that could not take a full-size copier. Print quality at 600 dpi is fine for text and forms but noticeably softer than the 1200 dpi engines in Toshiba's larger machines.

Best for: Budget offices needing A3 copying without finishing options
Add the machine by IP with the Universal Printer Driver, and set the default output to duplex in the driver to make the most of its automatic two-sided printing. If the panel reports a jam that is not visible, open both the side cover and the rear duplex door, since sheets often stop in the reversing path where they are hard to see. Keep a spare T-2809 toner on hand, as the machine stops rather than degrades when the cartridge is empty.
The Toshiba e-STUDIO2809A uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
