If Brother's site does not list the MFC-L2717DW, download the MFC-L2710DW Full Driver & Software Package; it installs and identifies the printer correctly. Join 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi through the LCD or Brother Mobile Connect. Reserve its IP so Windows scanning remains stable.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.

3. Install the setup app. Use Brother's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
