Xerox WorkCentre 3345
Small offices with an older touchscreen mono MFP that is still cheap to run

The WorkCentre 3655 was the first A4 mono MFP to carry Xerox's ConnectKey controller, giving it a 7-inch touchscreen, hard drive and app platform years before the VersaLink line. Many still run on extended service contracts. Because it stores jobs and address books on a hard drive, wipe it before disposal, and update to the last ConnectKey firmware to fix old SMB scanning problems with current Windows servers.

Best for: Offices keeping an early ConnectKey mono MFP in service
Configure scan-to-email, SMB and fax through CentreWare Internet Services at the device IP, enabling SMBv2 or later for modern shares. The Xerox Global Print Driver is the best choice on Windows 11, and AirPrint covers macOS and iOS. Firmware updates are uploaded from the web interface.
The Xerox WorkCentre 3655 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
