Ricoh IM 350: Setup, Drivers, Ink and Common Problems
The IM 350 is a desktop A4 mono MFP with the big 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel usually seen on A3 copiers, which makes it easy to standardise panel workflows across a mixed fleet. It is aimed at branch offices that need copier-grade scanning and authentication in a footprint that fits on a cabinet. The panel is Android-based, so it takes a minute to boot and benefits from being left in low-power sleep rather than fully switched off.

Setting up the Ricoh IM 350
Set the address and hostname from the Smart Operation Panel, then use Web Image Monitor for SMTP, LDAP address-book lookup and user authentication. Deploy the PCL6 Universal Driver by print server so departments share the same tray and finishing mappings. If the panel appears frozen after a power cut, hold the main power switch for ten seconds and allow the full Android boot rather than pulling the plug again.
- Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.
- Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
- Install the setup app. Use Ricoh's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
- Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
- Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.
Ink, toner and supplies
The Ricoh IM 350 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
- Ricoh IM 350 toner (12,000 pages)
- IM 350 photoconductor unit
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
