Is the Xerox C325 right for you?

The Xerox C325 is the color laser all-in-one Xerox added in July 2024 as the successor to the C315, with the C320 as its print-only partner replacing the C310. Both older models already have pages on this site, and much of their setup advice carries over. The C325 is aimed at small offices and busy home offices that want color handouts and forms plus scanning and copying from a desktop machine sold through regular retailers. In June 2026 Xerox followed with a new line of A4 color models, including the C240, C245, C300 and C305ae, so compare current prices across both generations before buying. Speeds, tray sizes and fax availability were not confirmed for this page.

Setting up the Xerox C325

Run the setup wizard on the control panel, or use the Xerox Easy Assist app on a phone to join Wi-Fi and install firmware updates. For scan-to-email and network folders, open the Embedded Web Server at the printer's IP address and enter your email provider's SMTP settings there. On Windows, install the model driver and the Xerox Print and Scan Experience app for scanning; Macs can print through AirPrint. Keep the firmware current, and confirm the toner and imaging kit part numbers on the installed parts before ordering.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the toner cartridge and drum unit, and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use Xerox's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.

Ink, toner and supplies

The Xerox C325 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.

• Xerox toner cartridges for the C320/C325 in black, cyan, magenta and yellow (confirm part numbers on the installed cartridges)
• Imaging kit (check the part number in the manual)

High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
