The G3270 is Canon's current mainstream MegaTank all-in-one, replacing the G3260 with a small text LCD, front-facing tank windows and a cleaner look while keeping the same GI-21 ink bottles. In the UK and Europe it is sold as the G3570 with GI-51 ink. It is the model most people compare against the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 series, and it wins on bottle price while losing on speed. Keep it printing at least weekly to avoid head clogs.

Setting up the Canon PIXMA G3270

Fill the tanks, install the heads and wait for the initial charge, then use Canon PRINT or the LCD menu to join a 2.4 GHz network. Windows users should install the G3070 series package from ij.start.canon to get IJ Scan Utility. When the ink reaches the lower line, refill and confirm the level reset on the LCD so the printer's estimate stays accurate.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the ink bottles (fill each tank to the upper line), and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use Canon's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.
