The SureColor P700 is the current A3+ fine-art printer for photographers, with ten UltraChrome PRO10 inks including violet and separate photo and matte black lines so there is no ink-wasting switch. It has a large touchscreen, a replaceable maintenance box and a compact body. The small 25 ml cartridges are its main criticism; heavy printers find the per-print cost high. Head clogs are less frequent than on older models but still occur if it sits for weeks.
Sold in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia. Sold as SureColor SC-P700 in United Kingdom.

Set up Wi-Fi or Ethernet from the touchscreen, then install Epson Print Layout and the driver from epson.com/support. Use the front straight path for fine-art paper and set the platen gap in the driver for thick media. Print a nozzle check weekly if you print infrequently.
The Epson SureColor P700 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
