HP OfficeJet 8015e
Home offices that print a few hundred pages a month on Instant Ink

The OfficeJet 8015 is the stripped-down sibling of the OfficeJet Pro 8025, dropping fax and Ethernet but keeping the faster engine, 225-sheet tray and individual HP 910 cartridges. It is a good fit for a home office that needs speed and an ADF but never sends a fax. The permanent printhead in this family is sensitive to third-party ink and to being left empty, and the 0x61 error codes it throws are a recurring theme in support threads.
Sold in United States, Canada. Sold as HP OfficeJet 8012 / 8014 in United Kingdom.

Best for: Home offices wanting OfficeJet Pro speed without fax
Set up with HP Smart on either Wi-Fi band; a 2.4 GHz connection is steadier at range. Do not remove the cartridges for long periods, as the printhead dries out quickly. If the display shows a 0x6100004a-style error, power off, remove all four cartridges, check for packing material under the carriage, reinstall and power on.
The HP OfficeJet 8015 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
