Is the Epson EcoTank ET-1910 right for you?

The EcoTank ET-1910 is Epson's most affordable EcoTank to date, launched in Australia in May 2026 and in the US in July 2026 at $159.99. It is a print-only model with Wi-Fi, so there is no scanner or copier, and it most likely takes over from the ET-1810. Epson quotes 11 ppm black and 6 ppm color. The appeal is simple: a lower entry price into bottle-fed ink, which costs far less per page than cartridges. It suits students, dorm rooms and families who already scan with a phone and just want cheap, dependable printing. Buy an all-in-one such as the ET-2900 instead if you need to copy or scan documents on a flatbed.

Setting up the Epson EcoTank ET-1910

Fill each tank from its keyed bottle, close the caps firmly and let the initial charge finish before you print anything. Join Wi-Fi with Epson Smart Panel on a phone, or connect by USB to a single computer. Because there is no scanner, use your phone's camera or a scanning app to capture documents instead. Run a nozzle check if the printer has sat idle for a few weeks, because tank printers are prone to drying out. Check the ink bottle number on the box before ordering refills.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the ink bottles (fill each tank to the upper line), and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use Epson's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.
