Epson Expression Home XP-2200
Students and light users wanting the smallest, cheapest Epson

The XP-2100 is the cheapest Expression Home in Europe, a very small cartridge-based all-in-one without a screen that is often sold for little more than the cost of its four 603 cartridges. It is fine for a student printing a few pages a week, but anyone printing regularly will spend far more on ink than on the printer. Third-party 603 cartridges are common and frequently trigger recognition errors after firmware updates, which is the number one support topic for this model.
Sold in United Kingdom, Europe, Ireland, Australia. Sold as XP-2101 / XP-2105 retailer variants in Europe.

Best for: Occasional printers who want the lowest upfront price
Without a screen, use Smart Panel on a 2.4 GHz network or hold the Wi-Fi button for WPS. Install the driver from epson.co.uk/support and avoid the automatic firmware update if you intend to use compatible cartridges. The 50-sheet rear tray needs the support extended to feed reliably.
The Epson Expression Home XP-2100 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
