The SureColor P600 succeeded the R3000 in 2015 with UltraChrome HD inks, a deeper black on matte paper and a touchscreen, and it was the standard A3+ fine-art printer for serious photographers until the P700 arrived. It switches between photo and matte black automatically but wastes some ink doing so. Most used units are in good order; the issues to check are head clogs from idle time and the waste ink pad counter.
Sold in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia. Sold as SureColor SC-P600 in United Kingdom.

Install the driver and Epson Print Layout from epson.com/support and connect by Ethernet or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi from the touchscreen. Use Epson ICC profiles and let the printer manage black ink switching. Feed thick paper through the front straight path with the rear output support extended.
The Epson SureColor P600 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
