The ENVY Inspire 7255e took over from the ENVY Photo 7155 and brought back a proper colour touchscreen alongside a dedicated photo tray, which makes it the ENVY most people choose if they print snapshots. It is faster than the 6000 series and its 125-sheet tray handles family paperwork comfortably. As an HP+ model it is tied to Original HP 67 ink and an internet connection, and the photo tray shares the 7155's habit of staying engaged and causing jams.

Setting up the HP ENVY Inspire 7255e

Set up through HP Smart with an HP account; the touchscreen also offers a Wireless Setup Wizard for moving the printer to a new network later. Photo paper goes in the small upper tray, which you slide forward to engage and push back after use. Use the Clean Printhead option under Tools, Printer Maintenance if photos show banding.

1. Unbox and prepare. Remove every piece of shipping tape and packing material, install the ink cartridges, and load paper in the tray.
2. Join your Wi-Fi. Keep the printer close to the router for setup. Most printers only connect to the 2.4GHz band, so if your router broadcasts one merged network name you may need to split the bands temporarily. See our Wi-Fi guide if it will not join.
3. Install the setup app. Use HP's official app rather than a driver you found on a search result — third-party driver sites are the most common source of printer malware.
4. Add the printer. On Windows 11: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners › Add device. On macOS: System Settings › Printers & Scanners › Add Printer.
5. Print a test page and run a scan if this is an all-in-one, so you find any problem now rather than when you are in a hurry.
