The ET-2500 was among the first EcoTank models sold in North America, recognisable by the bulky external ink tank bolted to the right side. It is now a decade old, so most surviving units are into their second or third set of waste ink pads and the original T664 bottles have been partly replaced on shelves by generic ink. It still prints acceptably for a home user but lacks Wi-Fi Direct, a screen, and current app support, so expect to lean on the older Epson iPrint app or a USB cable.

Best for: Owners of an original 2015 EcoTank keeping it alive a little longer
Download the legacy driver and Epson Event Manager from epson.com/support; Windows 11 will install a basic driver but scanning needs the Epson package. Wi-Fi setup without a screen relies on WPS push-button or the USB-tethered wizard from the driver installer. If the unit has sat unused for months, run two or three head cleanings with an hour's gap rather than back-to-back.
The Epson EcoTank ET-2500 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
