The OfficeJet Pro 9020 is the twin-tray big brother of the 9010, aimed at small offices that want letterhead in one tray and plain paper in the other. It is slightly faster and rated for higher monthly volume, and because it launched before HP+ it tolerates compatible HP 962 cartridges. The second tray adds a jam location that catches people out, and the printhead remains the part that determines the printer's lifespan.
Sold in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia. Sold as HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 / 9022 in United Kingdom.

Best for: Small offices needing two paper trays without HP+
Assign paper types to each tray under Setup, Tray and Paper Management so the driver picks the right one automatically. Use Ethernet or HP Smart over either Wi-Fi band. For tray 2 jams, pull the lower tray fully out and check the rollers behind it rather than just the tray itself.
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 uses the following consumables. Match the number exactly when you buy: the same printer family often uses several different cartridge numbers by region.
High-yield (XL) versions almost always cost less per page if you print regularly. On third-party ink and toner, read our honest assessment first, and note that some manufacturers push firmware that rejects non-original chips.
